Four government agencies with responsibility for food regulation just issued recommendations to set standards for marketing foods to kids. Kids can still eat trans fats and sugary cereals as well as 1/2 gram of salt in one serving. Marion Nestle blogs about this and finds these recos pretty lame. Guv: shouldn’t we be establishing some Better4You standards? – Rich

interesting. these standards will not stop the marketing of questionably nutritious products to kids. Most of the sugary kids’ breakfast cereals that i can think of would easily qualify….
